Blood Sign

I spent more time planning this shot than taking it…

It was important for me to show the essence. In a sense, the inner world. The idea. The way I feel it. And I decided to do it (this time, last time it was paint) with artificial blood. But it’s not that simple.

It seemed to me that artificial blood had the wrong texture, and…

I used artificial sperm with dye. In fact, I wanted the drops to drip like slime, and it was visible. So I shot in timelapse mode. 150 frames, 1 frame every 3 seconds. Both of my Panasonics helped me with this

The drops were added during the shooting because I didn’t really understand how it would look in reality, whether it would drip (yes, it would) and in general, what result I would get, because…paint is paint, it leaves marks on my hand and I had one chance for a day or two before I could apply paint to a clean hand again.

The dyed “sperm” was applied with a syringe with a broken needle, because without a needle funny bubbles appeared, which can also be used under certain conditions, but not in this case 🙂

Now my Deviantart profile looks complete, which makes me happy. Plus, I gained some useful experience for future experiments 🙂
