I like unpopular people. It’s easier with them.

It’s easier to be friends with them. It’s easier to communicate with them. The more a person perceives themselves as socially restricted, the more they will open up to you. The more open they will be. Even on Deviantart, I pay attention to how many followers a person has and how many works. If the advantage is not in the number of works (200 works and 100 followers, as an example), I will bypass the person. Because my limitation does not give me the opportunity to observe an “unlimited” person. Because I know that every “unlimited person” will not see you among hundreds or thousands. And you don’t need your creativity to be deified. You just need to be interesting. And you are interesting. You want to be a paragraph at the beginning of a story, not a “bookmark” somewhere at the end of a book.

Answering the question – what would I want more, “a hundred dollars or a hundred likes under my favorite work” – I would say that I would like one interesting person. This is more valuable than anything else.
