Someone (probably) thinks I’m a wizard who can repair anything and everything. And it’s nice that someone thinks so, but that’s far from the case or not always the case. However, that doesn’t stop me from wanting to at least try.

The part in the photo (resistor) is so big that I lost the first two when unpacking it from the holder in which they came. There was an obvious option that the laptop wouldn’t start because of it. So… having barbarically broken the old one, I decided, no less barbarically, to solder a new one. Usually, such work is done with a special hot air blower (ha-ha, which I have), but we are simple people (not fancy, as Alenka would say). So I decided to do it with an ordinary soldering iron with a very thin tip. And I succeeded. The laptop didn’t come to life. Unfortunately.

But that doesn’t mean that I’ll stop there and won’t try anymore. Of course, there’s hardly any point in trying anything with this laptop (plus my knowledge isn’t at that level, and the motherboard donor is already on his way to me). But if possible, I’ll still try to repair something, because in my opinion, it’s better to at least try. It’ll work out the fifth or tenth time. So…let’s move on. And we gain experience..
